To show my appreciation for my clients and friends, I thought I would share this AMAZING recipe! It's so yummy to eat for breakfast, as a snack or as a dessert. You can even make as cupcakes - just whip up some vanilla frosting to put on top.
I believe this recipe is from a book called Forum Feast. Probably circa 1990.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
1 3/4 cups of flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinammon
1 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/4 tsp. salt
1 cup of applesauce (unsweetened)
1 cup of dark brown sugar (packed)
1/2 cup of canola or vegetable oil
Mix dry ingredients together (flour through salt).
In a separate bowl, mix applesauce, brown sugar and oil. Mix well. Add dry ingredients a little at a time being careful not to overmix.
Place in greased pan (I use 9x9 or 12x12) and cook for twenty minutes or so!
