I'll admit it - finding and repurposing old things is a little bit of an obsession for me. I'm always amazed at what's out there at flea market, yard sales and the side of the road for little or no money. One man's trash is another man's treasure. Every Friday, I'll be giving tips, tricks and inspiration to get you ready for summer weekend yard sales and flea markets!
This week I'll focus on silverplate dishes and bowls. They're really easy to come by and they can be used for soooo many things. They're not worth as much as sterling silver so you can usually get them for less than $10. Most of the time they're tarnished but that's how I like them. They have a nice patina and almost look iredescent.
Here are my favorite ways to use these gems.
From your desk to your dresser, silverplate pieces make great containers!
