Okay folks - I can finally talk about it!
Last year, I was lucky enough to be on an amazing show, Flea Market Flip. My incredibly talented friend, Leigh Heagney, and I were chosen to compete on the show against a team of talented carpenters in what they're calling the "Battle for the Jersey Shore".
Here's the official description of the show...
Battle for the Jersey Shore
It's a battle for the Shore as design-savvy Jersey girls, Leigh and Lisa, bring out the big guns against competitive craftsmen, Brian and Eric. The teams hit the ground running at Brimfield Antique Show and Flea Market in Brimfield, Massachusetts where they each have $500 and just one hour to complete our Vignette Challenge from the Flip List. Each team must find three items that can fit together in one room. Next, the teams bring their flipping plans to the workshop where they have just one day to transform their items. Leigh and Lisa are confident they can furnish a living room with their vignette pieces. They get to work updating a pair of modern chairs in need of a facelift, bring a bar back to life, and transform an industrial mixing bowl into a coffee table. Brian and Eric plan to fire up a stylish living room with their pieces. They'll use their flea market finds to create a custom coffee table, a side table with attached lamp, and an adjustable tv console.
It airs tomorrow at 8 pm on Great American Country. I have NO IDEA what to expect here - I could look rather clueless or I could end up looking okay. I'm guessing the former but we shall see!!!
Regardless, it was an awesome experience and I'm so happy to have done it. I'm still amazed at Leigh's talents - she brought everything to a whole new level. I did a lot of scrubbing and chatting with all of the crew and carpenters. We each have our strengths!
So tune in tomorrow and I'll check back with you once it's aired. Then I can give you the skinny on everything!
I'm all about sharing ideas in home design, gardening and living so we can love our homes. I'm joined by my dog, Boomer, who is always by my side.
