A friend of mine recently sent me a link to a guide on how to stock your bar cart (thanks Susan!) and it got me thinking. With a rainy weekend in the forecast, why not invite a few friends over and mix some drinks? Of course, you have to start with a good bar set up so I've done a little homework for you to find some of the best bar options around...
Look at this gem from Crate and Barrel. It opens up into a fully functional bar. I love the brass details and the fact that it packs so much storage space!

This South Seas bar cart from Serena and Lily evokes beach vacations and rum swizzles. My sister has this bar cart and it looks so great in her family room. She makes a mean Dark and Stormy - more on that later!
This super cute rolling cart from Amazon can fit almost anywhere. It's 29" high x 16" wide x 11" deep and could serve not only as a bar cart but also as storage in a kitchen, bathroom, office or outside on a patio.
I have this bar cart and I love it! It's a steal at only $97.49! It's sturdy and can be dressed up or down. I love rolling it around my house pretending I'm a flight attendant. "Coffee, tea, anyone?"
Don't have room for a dedicated bar cart? No worries! You can transform a bookcase into a bar. Or how about a secretary?
When you think about it, all you really need to create a bar is a simple tray which could live on just about any surface. I love these lacquer trays from West Elm. They're colorful, sturdy and super fun.
It was a dark and stormy night...
Okay, let's get to the good stuff - the drinks! I pretty much only drink gin and tonics (Hendricks gin please- again, thanks to Susan for the introduction!) so I'm really easy to please.
With all this yucky weather though, I keep thinking I want a Dark and Stormy. Let's just embrace this bad weather! These are my sister's, Cristy, specialty. Here's her recipe...
Cristy's Dark and Stormy
Fill a highball halfway with ice. Add 2 ounces of dark rum ( that's important). Add ginger beer and finish with a lime wedge.
I know everyone has a go to drink - what's yours? Please comment below!!!
Until next time!
